Mission statement
Hebni is committed to providing nutrition programs and services that empower and educate underserved and minority communities.
Company Overview
Hebni Nutrition Consultants, Inc. is a community-based, nonprofit agency formed in 1995 to educate high-risk, culturally diverse populations about nutrition strategies to prevent diet-related diseases.
Company History
In 1995, three African-American dietitians united around a powerful vision: to transform their community’s health through culturally rooted nutrition education. Born from personal experiences watching family members struggle with diabetes and heart disease, they knew that prevention through proper nutrition was key – but it had to be delivered in a way that honored cultural traditions and heritage. Thus, Hebni Nutrition was born, pioneering a revolutionary approach that bridges the gap between healthy eating and cultural identity. What began as a mission to provide culturally sensitive nutrition education has blossomed into a comprehensive community wellness movement, featuring innovative programs like the Fresh Stop Bus – a mobile market bringing affordable, fresh produce to underserved neighborhoods across Central Florida.
